Tokyo Odaiba part 2

Guess who welcomed me at Odaiba beside IDOLISH7 XD

After Life size Gundam -> Gundam Base -> Joypolis, I went to Tokyo's Madame Tussauds at DECKS; still at Odaiba
As I mentioned in my previous post, there's so many things to do to see to look to enjoy at Odaiba that even a day wasn't truly enough, moreover one blog post 😂

Waaa this is my first time getting 'PHOTOGENIC GUIDE' book from Madame Tussauds 😂

Is this something they give at Tokyo only? 😂
I went to Madame Tussauds at HK, SG and LA before but never get something like this 😂

When I searched about Odaiba, I did know that there's Madame Tussauds there but I only decided to go (for my main aims were Gundam and Joypolis only~) after I realized that they have figures of my idols O_O
those who watched my IG story or followed my IG posts or even watched my random vlog that I just uploaded to my YouTube channel, it'll be very obvious OwO

Leonardo DiCaprio was the third figure to welcome everyone there!

The 'first figure' is actually birds from Angry Birds 😂I didn't take picture cause it's right at the entrance, the type that we can take picture with without getting ticket~

The second figure was Bruce Willis, who shocked everyone as he was in the lift, for we needed to use the lift to upper level XD

Right after Leonard DiCaprio was the hall of world leaders~

Abe-san peace ✌🏻

For those who like Japanese culture, I really recommend going to Tokyo's Madame Tussauds because definitely there are more Japanese figures there!
It's like Mickey Mouse @ Tokyo's Disney Land wears Kimono, something that's different and limited only to Japan :D

Yuzuru Hanyu, Japanese ice skater

The life version of Yuri /slapped 😂

Yayy commemoration photo

In front of Hanyu is Mao Asada, another famous skater from Japan

Very sure only Japan have famous sumo wrestler figure OwO

I got my photo taken by the staff~

Staff there were kind to notice this random girl having hard time taking picture by herself 😂

I don't know whether this is just my bias-ness or me being ignorant but I didn't see any 'take photo with our camera and pay to get your photo later' kind of booth there O_O
instead the staff offered taking photo with our phone for us O_O
but anyway, it's really good for a cheapo like me 😂

Itsumo kiitetaaa favorite songgggg

Okie I don't know what song this uniform is from but it's Acchan 😂
I didn't take much photo here because my aim was beside her, like I showed in my vlog....

It's X JAPAN!!!!!!

Ahhh my dream band TwT
I almost cried standing there 😂
okie I'm very hyper when it comes to meeting my idols, like even statues posters standee can touch me so much 😂
I think I spent like 20 mins there 😂
And even until now I still wonder why no Toshi 😂

Pata and Heath!!

I only realized now but behind my wefie with Pata (at the left), can see Beyonce 😂
there were of course famous western artists like Beyonce, Madonna, Lady Gaga, but I'm a weeb so yea 😂
and those are pretty much at every Madame Tussauds I've been, unlike X <3 <3 <3

I think X Japan is also available at Hong Kong though, or may be just Yoshiki, I don't really remember already 😂

I mentioned Taiji instead of Heath in my vlog T_T
I'm so sad as I feel so guilty T_T
but yea I was nervous too 😂

I sure have a lot of photos in my phone and camera 😂

At the left were my 2 main idols; Yoshiki and Sugizo!!

My X Japan first love is actually Yoshiki XD
but I know X before Sugizo entered the group, so he is my bias from Luna Sea....

of course I was really happy when Sugizo entered X Japan, means more love of mine in the band (if you can understand what I mean 😂)
But for sure, both Yoshiki and Sugizo are my role models.
It'd take ages for me to explain why 😂

So lucky to have a staff passed by to take my photo with Sugizo 😂

It's fate 😂

But of course I took wefie too 😂

And it's pretty Yoshiki <3 <3 <3

argh so dreamy TwT

Okie I could stay there forever 😂

But of course, time doesn't stop for me 😂

My smile, can see the difference? 😂

Beside X is another ex-member of AKB, who is actually my most fave member of AKB back then, Mayuyu >w<
I think she so cute but still I was more into X 😂

Actually......I expected even more artists (though there are a few more below) but yea I really like expected Ayumi Hamasaki? I remember seeing her figure at China or HK O_O but why no Tokyo O_O
or may be Gackt
If I'm more biased then I want more Jrock VKei figures like L'arc en Ciel, TMR 😂
but yea, my true love there is only X Japan.....

On a side note, X Japan had 2 days concert like 2-3 days before I went to Odaiba, means like on the day I reached Tokyo or just slightly before TwT
the live location was ZEPP TOKYO, at Odaiba TwT
fate LOL

Sakamoto....RYOMA!!

It's not that I'm bad, more like I never really study history but I do know a number of Japanese figures and here's Sakamoto Ryoma, who I know from Dear Girl Stories 😂

other figures will be from Gintama, Touken Ranbu, Hakuoki etc /cough 😂

Famous Japanese composer; Sakamoto Ruyichi!

I think this is one of the golden hands on earth (?)

Hiroaki Hirata and Matsuko Deluxe

I mean Johnny Depp 😂
Hiroaki Hirata is the official seiyuu for Johnny Depp, for any English movie that is dubbed into Japanese~
it's just my....weirdness, like I call Captain America as Nakamura Yuuichi now 😂

Behind Matsuko Deluxe at the right is Gaga-san XD

Tetsuko Kuroyanagi and Beat Takeshi

Beat me, I don't know who exactly they are, but I just take photo of them as memory 😂
may be one day I'll know more about them to realize eh I met them before 😂

Idk why but there was another Acchan 😂

Behind Matsuko Deluxe was Becky!

The full body shoot means someone took the photo for me; thank you staff 😂

Thus ended my visit to Madame Tussauds~
Not a huge place but it was fun :D
Well...in a way Madame Tussauds is fun to visit with crazy people, for more creative poses 😂

After Madame Tussauds @ DECKS, I walked back to DIVER CITY for a few shops, before meeting my family for dinner!

My favorite fast fashion chain store at Japan!

GU is my LOVEEEEEEEEEE
I do love Uniqlo but since I discovered GU back in December, I never step into Japan's UNIQLO anymore 😂
mainly because UNIQLO is also available @ SE Asia but the reason I fall for GU is they had collaboration with Sailor Moon, which I bought back in Fukuoka >w<
I'm not saying that I don't like UNIQLO's collaboration (I did buy a number of collaboration Tshirtssss) but I can't wear Tshirt 24/7 😂
so GU became my love and apparently the collaboration items were still available during my visit and I bought some~~
it's just another clothing store that I'd visit when I'm at Japan :D

Another store I went was Village Vanguard

Village Vanguard is this store with various pop culture item, from anime manga idol stuff western cartoon, whatever's cool, but I didn't expect something

Omg they have almost every seiyuu photobook O_O

I managed to stop myself from buyinggggg
I didn't expect seiyuu fandom caught the eye of Village Vanguard 😂

But it managed to make me adding more wish-list TwT
because there are photobooks that I didn't know until I see it 😂

Odaiba at night~

Next time I think I'll relaly visit Palette Town, which is connected to Venus Fort...
I've never really wish to go to Venus Fort as it's a factory outlet for western brands....
Palette Town does have game centre, but I try to avoid game centre in Japan because I'll spend a lot in Gacha CraneGame or Purikura 😂

but it's the only place that I haven't really check, beside technology museums around...
One day ain't enough for Odaiba------

Went to Oedo Onsen after a year of not!

This is the reason why I didn't catch the night life size Gundam show
because I'm in love with Onsen <3

Dinner <3

For lunch, I had ramen at DIVER CITY's food court
I wonder if I mentioned this before or not but it's veryyyyy hard to find 'food court' in Japan.
So far I've only seen food court in Diver City, or this 'family oriented mall' back in Osaka, or in factory outlet area.

In a way, that makes food in Japan a bit pricey because if you want nice seating place with space (not too narrow for your bags), family restaurant is the cheapest.
Of course if you are fine with lesser comfortable space like tiny 'just-fit' or even standing ramen/sushi shop, it's cheaper but I'd say not so family oriented.

So....I wouldn't say meal in Japan as cheap.
it's not like Singapore where it's easy to find hawker centre, but of course,
Japanese meal is 95% delicious :D

Family portrait XD

I'm always amazed by Oedo Onsen Monogatari
sadly no anime collaboration happening when I was there but it was still really fun >w<

At last I can talk about other thing beside Odaiba 😂it was only my second touring day in Tokyo yet it took me 1.5 blog posts 😂

For DAY3 and DAY4, I managed to squeeze them to this post because on the 2 days, even though it was Saturday and Sunday, half of my days were spent with personal schedule.
so I will only be writing about the 'tourist side' OwO

With my favorite milk 😂and waa even vending machine in Japan sells cut fruit O_O

For my personal schedule, I visited Suidobashi~

Back in September, I stayed in a place where only Tokyo Metro train is available.
thus, I always change line via Suidobashi but I never know what's around.

For sure, as can be seen from the picture, there's small amusement park =w=
and apparently, Tokyo Dome, a place I know for live concerts, is there!

I remember when I went for lunch, the waiter asked me 'are you here for live?' 😂
I guess that's what you get from dark lipstick (?) but yea there were a lot of people who seem prepared for live that day OwO

After Suidobashi, I went to Tsukishima-----

I only realized that Tsukishima is a place I wanna go one day after my friend mentioned it to me XD

I met my friend for dinner and he gave me a few options like sushi at Tsukiji or Monja at Tsukishima.
that's when I realized 'ahhh Tsukishima is the station which Ono Daisuke is the seiyuu' 😂

Ono Daisuke is one of the casts of this project called Miracle Train, where they introduce a number of train stations and he was in charge with Tsukishima
Okie, my friend doesn't know but my reasoning is half bias 😂

Tsukishima is well know for monja!!

Truly first experience /w/
from visiting Tsukishima, eating monja and later to cookinn----

Monja is like Japanese version of pancake, which I'll describe more later :D

Monja street, where both left and right are all selling monja <3

The store I went is called iroha, and there's instruction to how to cook monja :D

We ordered a set of mentai-cheese Monja, which comes with pickles and salad~!
The one at the right is how monja looks like :D

How to cook mentai-cheese monja:
1. heat up the mentai and cheese
2. heat up the vegetable (cabbage) but don't pour the whole bowl  into the frying pan.
pour only the cabbage
3. arrange the cabbage into doughnut shape (circle with hole in the middle)
4. pour the soup that is in the bowl of cabbage into the circle, and mix everything~

The soup (I didn't taste it before it was poured to the frying pan so I'd personally call it water / liquid 😂) from that store is brown~
different monja stores have different soup~

We were given small spatula to eat with :D
of course it was delicious~!

The one above was made by my friend.

In the set we ordered, we also received one okonomiyaki~!

This one I half cook 😂

Okie, it was definitely my first time having monja and my friend doesn't frequently visit this kind of store too so...
we didn't know that the second bowl of cabbage was okonomiyaki 😂
and it was my turn to cook 😂so I did the same like he did...
1. heat up the meat
2. heat up the cabbage....BUT HAVE EGG!? Where to put the egg!?

That's when a staff saw our frying pan and took over 😂
I don't really remember how she really did it, but my friend said she was scary 😂
she gave the 'learn first then come please' stare 😂
lucky she managed to safe our okonomiyaki 😂
we really didn't know that the set comes with 1 monja and 1 okonomiyaki 😂

I think okonomiyaki is more well known, like I've seen it at restaurants outside Japan.
Actually after eating, I like okonomiyaki better too XD
I think because there's egg? instead of the 'unknown special' brown sauce.
But still, I enjoyed that night's dinner a lot <3

Went to karaoke after dinner /w/

Aaa another dream came true 😂
I've always been wanting to try to BIG ECHO 😂
although as a disgusting fangirl, there's certain outlet of BIG ECHO I'd like to visit but this made me happy too 😂

First song was Endless Happy World XD

I think I mentioned that Japanese karaoke machine is also available in the karaoke store I always visit in Singapore but song list is more complete in Japan and this is one song that isn't at Singaporeeeee
Me super happy 😂

Beside that, I sang songs that aren't available in both Medan and Singapore such as SolidS' BURNY (that I have hard time singing because it's 4 people rap with low key voice because they are guyssss), MOB's Ace of Asia (okay if I were to announce every single song, 80% will be non-main-stream songs 😂), Kimi no Uta from Natsume no Yuujinchou that I'm in love with lately, CLEAR by Sakamoto Maaya (going going goinggg goinggg onnn <3) and etc >w<

But after all after 2 hrs karaoke, I got hungry 😂

I met up with my friend around 5, we had monja at 6 😂
sang at 7, finished at 9, I dropped by Lawson before my lodging 😂

Tried Lawson's karaage~ it's delicious!
While the orange juice...I still prefer Family Mart's <3

but something caught my heart is I managed to get a ticket of a show I was about to watch a few days later~~
I think Lawson is the only convenient store that has ticket machine :D
it was another first experience for me >3

DAY4

The top is from GU, a sailor moon collaboration~!

Woke up early to walk around my complex~

Apparently there's a park near my house >w<
Ahhh this is so fanfiction setting 😂

Okie, walking around the block is definitely 'something' for a shut-in like me,
plus it's almost impossible to walk around my housing area =w=
cars everywhere dust everywhere and no park =w=
i'm just surrounded with building -w-

plus as a fanfiction writer (okay to be exact thinker or imaginer cause I don't really do the effort of writing, just daydream 😂), this 'park' is soooo dreamy.
This may be a bit long but something like:
childhood friend setting - we used to play here a lot - you'll always come here when you are down / when you cry - so i know where to find you always ;) - this can be the place where I'll confess to you saying that I've liked you since childhood - this can be the place for proposal 'will you be with me for the rest of my life'

😂okay never look down on a fujoshi's power to imagine 😂

I spent half of DAY4 with another personal schedule,
where I saw this drawing of Osamu Tezuka's manga characters at Takadanobaba, dropping by to change train line :D

Visited Nishi Kasai for the first time and I found another art school; Tokyo School of Anime

After my visit before meeting my friend, I dropped by Shibuya, but not for cloth shopping 😂

Mandatory (?) photo with Hachiko and photo of Shibuya crossing

Of course it was crowded on a Sunday~

I was at Shibuya for my fujoshi shopping 😂

I didn't really put Shibuya in my 'to go' list but I really dropped by only to check on stores for my anime shopping; BOOK-OFF, Mandarake & Animate

Shibuya's Animate is of course for girllllsss

Dakaretai otoko...
will be animated for 2018...
definitely for girls, the gay feels so strong 😂

Manga corner right at the entrance of Animate~

Corners of on-going anime (2018 Winter anime)

Special corner of live stage plays and musicals
Okay that photo a bit too biased cause I was just excited to see one of my fave actors 😂

There's now corner for Kizuna Ai >w<
but my corner is the one at the right, for seiyuu 😂

Aaaa I've become more aware of Tsukiuta-Tsukipro stuff since my visit to HuisTenBosch

and influence of my sister even though I was the one who led her to watch 😂

Japan and the craze? of 'pre-orders' =w=
DVDs CDs BluRays =w=

I...ended up shopping at Mandarake 😂
After 30-40 mins, I went to Roppongi to meet my friend~

Saw this big poster of Shoune-Jump exhibition, happening at Roppongi

My friend and I have similar interest, so we went to the exhibition at Roppongi Hills Mori Tower

Tokyo at night sure is beautiful~!

First time at the tower!
I think not my first time at Roppongi but it is officially my first time, since I have no recollection about it if I went there ages ago 😂

Roppongi is one of the famous night spots in Japan....
Not for shut-in, single person like me though 😂
it's well-known for illumination during Christmas, in other words dating spot 😂
that's why I also never really visit 😂

Most of the stuff in the exhibition is not allowed to have photo 😂

The Shounen Jump exhibition mainly shows draft or original manga but from the 90s, like Dragon Ball, Slam Dunk (kimi ga suki da toooo sakebitaiiii), YuYu Hakusho, Jojo

Comments from the manga artists~

There's also collaboration cafe in the building~

Mmmm I don't really grow up reading Shounen Jump though 😂
I do know the titles because I either watched them or they are famous
(confession I don't even watch or read Slam Dunk..)

But still, it was something pretty touching and encouraging to see a lot of manual work, because I don't think many artists used digital technology back then.
I still remember being awed with my friend when we saw fine lines drawn for Slam Dunk, beautifully drawn muscles, sweats..
I even caught this interview video with one artists who are saying that he is extremely serious when it comes to lines for uniform..
It's just really touching to see how dedicated everyone is that has resulted to what Shounen Jump is today.
Respect!

Another first experience~~

If the 5000-6000yen first experience last year at Butler Cafe is my most expensive meal ever, then I've broken a new record in 2018
I visited Sukiyabashi Jiro, for a 33000yen sushi.

With Mr. Takashi Ono, second son of Mr. Jiro Ono

Jiro Sushi is rewarded 3 stars by Michelin Guide and the reservation for a meal is almost impossible to book.
My friend invited me to his son's restaurant, served by Mr. Takashi, with 2 stars..
We did reservation 2 months before.
It was an unforgettable night /-/

Okay, like always, almost all my days in Tokyo since last year is unforgettable but this one is special, in many ways 😂
I've heard of Jiro Sushi for it's famous from a documentary named Jiro dreams of sushi
I know that it's not an 'easy meal' because not only for the price, it's also hard to book a seat.
but man, I guess from such strong first impression, what came next is also unforgettable.

Mr. Takashi explained every single sushi that he served in front of us.
From how to eat, what part of the fish, why he chose certain type of fish instead of the other, why this part instead of the other etc
During my visit, beside my friend, there was a couple of American (they were on a wedding anniversary trip :D), 1 lady who helped us with our belonging (coat), 2 younger chefs who helped Mr. Takashi and Mr. Takashi himself.
Mr. Takashi's English was so fluent that my friend was pretty surprised for he almost didn't speak English few years ago during his first visit.
Mr. Takashi then said that as many foreigners come, he practiced to speak English and Chinese.
He said '你很漂亮 我喜欢你' and 'terima kasih' to me when I said that I'm from Indonesia XD
Lucky he uses Chinese words that I understand 😂

I definitely don't remember every single sushi he served me but of course, everything was good 😂
I remember he talked about Anago, which is different with Unagi. Anago is saltwater eel, softer and tastier than Unagi, but of course harder to get = expensive

I remember he talked about uni, sea urchin. His shop uses male sea urchin because female's sea urchin is harder, which he added because women is stronger ;)
Confession, it was my first time eating uni and I'm 200% sure, I won't eat uni anymore.
because the one he served tasted like the most delicious uni ever..

I remember he used warm shrimp instead of cold one like the usual sushi bar.
He mentioned that warm one actually taste better but it's not easy to prepare, because the cold one still can keep inside fridge for days

My friend actually asked me about what I don't eat raw, and I did mention squid and octopus..
Mr. Takashi confirmed that with me before starting to serve any but I think he forgot halfway and served me squid 😂
For politeness, I didn't reject and just eat but I'm very sure if it's not there, I won't eat
It's not just about the money (I very cheapo but I don't eat what I don't like ._.) but it was damn soft, damn easy to swallow, it didn't taste like raw wriggly fluffy hard-to-bite-hard-to-chew like how it look 😭

The tamagoyaki that he served at the end was a bomb..
it didn't taste like egg it tasted like cake 😭
I kept on thinking to myself 'this is a lie he must be lying to say that this is fried egg----'

The 33000yen really didn't feel much from the deliciousness and how we were served.
I truly raise my thumbs up for Sushi Jiro.
2 stars Michelin tasted like 5 stars to me..I can't imagine his father's shop..

This increased my belief?
my determination that I won't take raw meat sushi or sashimi anywhere unless it's Japannnnnnn
Japan increases my expectation every single time I visit 😂

My next post will be a declaration!!
To everyone who has been looking down at Fujoshi!! >o
I know it's pretty bias as I'm the one writing or taking photos since I take note of what I'm mainly interested in but be aware!!
Fujoshi is nothing to look down on!!
In other words, next blog post will be my one-day visit to Ikebukuro 😂
and me trying to convince everyone that fujoshi is supporting the anime industry a lottttt 😂

While waiting, if you haven't, do check our my random vlog at Tokyo in my YouTube channel <3
As I'm watching Wotakoi and Gundam Build Divers, I miss Tokyo a lot 😂
Gundam Build Divers is a complete promotional material for Gundam BASE 😂aaaaaaa
