Sunday 28 June 2020

end of August 2019

written on Saturday 27 June 2020 for Sunday :D
only a few hrs passed since i published my previous post!

short summary; made dinner, which was home made chirashidon (sashimi on rice!)
bought raw salmon, tuna, katsuo (this is unpurposely since my partner doesn't know that I was writing about kochi ðŸ˜‚), scallop, prawn and fried egg
added sushi rice mix on cooked rice and mix them together!
costs more than what is available around but we spent a lot on the fresh ingredient, somewhat more economical since our rice to sides ratio is like 1:5 ðŸ˜‚
slacked for an hr by playing Pokemon -> should shower and start on this post but ended up cleaning toilet ðŸ˜‚
during the lockdown, I cleaned the toilet like once every week but since school started, I haven't clean in 3 weeks that it was getting to my mind ðŸ˜‚
thus somewhat it's like releasing stress ðŸ˜‚
then showered -> prepare for tomorrow's online game gathering -> now 23:20 ðŸ˜‚

like yesterday, partner's playing Last of Us
so hopefully can finish this post..
tomorrow will be yoga, and more in front of computer stuff + voice recording to do then games X)

most probably these are from September 2019 XD

let's travel back to late August 2019
later half of my summer trip!
after Kochi and Ehime, next stop is Kagawa!
After bus trip from Ehime -> checked in hotel -> boat to Naoshima

unlike Aoshima's boat, this is so high class, like for 100 people? ;w;

this shows how many people and tourist visit Naoshima ;w;

reached Naoshima -> coffee and early lunch; chicken rice!

Naoshima is probably the most famous thing about Kagawa
It is said as the island of art as there are a number of modern art museum in the island!

one of the famous spots; Naoshima Public Bath I Love Yu

at first i thought of putting this to my itinerary but remember the packed crowded public bath in Ehime's Dogo Main Building Onsen, we quit our decision ðŸ˜‚

the island is also a little like Aoshima; no convenient store
but have hotels, vending machine, bus and boat operates more than 5 times a day as it is still a touristy area!
but since our lodging is at Kagawa's main city, we decided not to stay too long in the island
thus we another reason to not enter the public bath is because it opens at 3:30PM, around the time we left the island XD

the island is small enough for us to explore the famous spots by foot
but most people would rent bike as there's a bit of hiking + mid summer
on that day, bike was out of stock
though main reason i didn't check bike rental beforehand is because V can't bike ðŸ˜‚

now it's time for artsy stuff!

works by Yayoi Kusama are here!

this is also artistic piece

...
ok tbh my partner and I aren't people who understand this kind of art ðŸ˜‚
thus I took photo for the sake of memorandum only ðŸ˜‚

this is an udon place that is recommended by my partner's friend

but closed that day ðŸ˜‚
fyi, Kagawa is udon city :D

random decoration :D

two museums' entrance

beside interest, didn't enter one of these because on the day ticket was sold out~

could see some work from outside XD

so much greenery = it is really hiking in mountainous area ðŸ˜‚

at the end we entered one museum; Benesse Art Site!

two photos taken indoor!

lunch :D

actually had spaghetti XD

Benesse Art Site is huge with exhibitions indoor and outdoor!
tbh at first I wanted to find a lodging in Naoshima, especially Benesse House but it's not cheap XD
but yea we also not artistic people ðŸ˜‚
we'd only enjoy sea view!!

more arts that we don't understand ðŸ˜‚

btw no offence ok!!
they are cool!!

took this photo from a far because there's a queue for Yayoi Kusama's yellow pumpkin XD

camel and cat!

took bus back to the ferry area
while waiting for our boat, we visited another cafe~

this cafe's design is cute! XD

then back to Kagawa's main city -> local shopping district

ANIMATE TIME XD
and dinner was udon!

BECAUSE KAGAWA IS UDON CITY ;w;
If I remember correctly, Kagawa's local shopping district is the most posh one comparing to Ehime and Kochi
I don't know about Tokushima's as I didn't visit the main city but Kagawa feels like more tourist than Ehime
I guess because of Naoshima? :3

a little recap!
1st - 4th day = Kochi
4th - 5th day = Aoshima
5th - 6th day = Ehime
6th - 7th day = Kagawa
7th - 9th day = Tokushima
9th day = Kochi -> Tokyo

on the 7th day's daytime, while killing time before our train to Tokushima, we visited this park that seems famous
around 20mins walk from our hotel (aka town centre)?

so green

purely a park ðŸ˜‚

ok we entered and went out in less than an hr, because it was fking hot ðŸ˜‚
we should've think twice that a park is better during spring or autumn before spending entrance ticket money ðŸ˜‚

last meal in Kagawa was chicken with bone :D

then it's time for our last stop in Shikoku; Tokushima!
again and again, didn't visit Tokushima's main city as we right away went to Obokeiya :D

ANPANMAN DA----

view from the train

reached!

yes no need guessing; it's in the middle of mountain aka nowhere, again ðŸ˜‚

stuff from here was written on Sunday 28 2020, an hr before it's time for me to play online game!
today was raining in the morning!
at first planned to do yoga with friends in the park but ofc, cancelled ;w;
still did yoga in the morning -> lunch was spaghetti -> slacked & napped for 2 hrs -> bought grocery for dinner -> and now here XD
still have stuff to finish until the day ends ðŸ˜‚

(PS finishing touch was done after dinner xD after almost 2hrs of game -> dinner was shabushabu but the soup we got didn't taste good ;w;
now here -> gotta do some scheduling for next week -> back to Pokemon XD)

it's Obokeiya :D

tbh spent 1/2 of our summer trip budget here ðŸ˜‚

it's a valley!

left & right

first tourist spot is this peeing boy statue, a few mins walk from our hotel!

our hotel is a ryokan, Japanese style lodging to be exact!

the main reason we picked this place is there's an outdoor onsen and this is the view!

of course separate gender XD
we also booked a special private onsen room for an hr!

truly in nature!
found the small version of this boy at the outdoor onsen area XD

of course this place is in the middle of valley; no convenient store & no travelling without car
bus is available very rarely, taxi will come in 20-30mins after calling XD

dinner!

no memories but for 2 nights, we were served with different food~

this is one of the dish that's called as hashi-yasumi, which means rest the chopstick X)

the first day we reach, it was rainy from late afternoon till night
if the night's clear, we'd be able to see stars
but that night, we couldn't but we still could do night excursion

famous bridge
and waterfall in front of it :D

breakfast time!
can choose Japan style or Western style

breakfast view X)

this is a total relaxation place
of course there's still wifi
but there's no city life business
so you have no choice but to just relax here XD

i kinda miss i, as it's good now and then XD

the next day, it was raining when we had breakfast
thus at first we thought of just slacking in the hotel; i play game & partner read book
but it stopped raining during early afternoon that we impulsively decided to go out and check other famous tourist stop~
so impulsed that i didn't even use makeup XD

it's time to check more water

still very cloudy~

we decided to take a boat ride!

this is a bit like tourist trap to us though ðŸ˜‚
as the boat ride is truly just to see the canyon and water..
which would be more beautiful if it's sunny!
plus if it's sunny, we'd probably do kayaking or rafting too!

more than the valley, we were more excited when we saw ducks XD

next stop was this bridge!

a lot to write about this
and the waterfall opposite it, like what we saw yesterday night!

I don't remember what made me bother paying to cross the bridge when I should've known that it's never going to be good for my heart
as the photos show, IT WAS FCKING SCARY
everytime someone moves; it shakes
there's no safety net; right away it's the river
the river's current is ofc not weak
i couldn't walk with my partner as he was recording video
it's not a place one would consider moving or turning their body a lot
not only that
on that day, there were motherfkers who were shaking the bridge as a prank to their friends
i felt so weak that i couldn't do or think of anything but just slowly move while holding to the side super tightly
i still can cry as i write about that experience
i cried in front of my partner for the first time
i couldn't talk couldn't speak i was short of breath ;o;

this is exactly how it is under the bridge

I guess my partner really see me not doing well that he tried to console me (?) by getting pancake at nearby cafe

then back to hotel ;-;

Japanese style lodging always have snack and tea in the room; self service :D

partly to promote what they have in the souvenir shop~!

it's dinner time again~!

dinner was after onsen XD

my partner's work ðŸ˜‚

there was also relaxing CD in the room!

plus a massage chair XD

oh man i really miss onsen and ryokan
for 2 nights, all we did were;
check in -> 15 mins walk -> onsen -> dinner -> 1/2hr night excursion -> sleep
breakfast -> onsen -> 2hrs sightseeing -> onsen -> dinner
breakfast -> onsen -> check out

sounds like old lady but IT'S LIFE ðŸ˜‚

last day's breakfast~!

checked out~!

now i understand why they put the miniature in the station ;w;

last day!
from oboke-iya -> train to Kochi as our flight back to Tokyo is from Kochi Ryoma Airport!

last photo with Hariyama Bridge X) <3

lunch was Katsuo ðŸ˜‚

this was in another shop with Katsuo Meister Title but as I said; it's just as good as other stores~

got time to kill; visited another spot that was visited by DGS team member

the rented Sakamoto Ryoma's uniform here XD

got Eevie's paper hat :D

i don't remember where is it anymore ðŸ˜‚
did i throw it? ðŸ˜‚

andddddd ready to go back to Tokyo :D

in conclusion, i love Shikoku as much as I love Fukuoka!
or may be more!
i mean, i enjoyed my trip to both places a lot!
but i really wanna visit Shikoku again!
especially i really loveee kochi that I really do wanna go back ;w;
it's one of the 2 (3 also can!) cities in Shikoku that I really wanna go back to.
hopefully next time my partner and i rent a car = easier to travel

i really wanna go to OnoD's parents' furniture shop ;w;
it has closed like 2 years ago?
thus i have to go visit it before it's gone ;w;
the other place I wanna go again is Tokushima as I haven't visit the Animate + I wanna be stuck in that beautiful onsen place again 😂
the not so wanna go back but why not place is Ehime 😂
kinda wanna visit Obachan and cats again but nothing else ;w;

that's the end for my August 2019!
tomorrow will be twitting bout September, my birth month XD
because of this summer trip, my birth month in 2019 felt like 2 months instead of 1 XD
do look forward to them~! <3
