Hakone 2021

I need to get back the motivation to work on Sundays too ;;

Omg, almost 3 weeks since my last update

I'm finishing the daily updates first, before really working on this post tonight ;;

3 weeks ago seem far although it's actually not too ;;

I finished writing on Wednesday night..

I think I had early part time job on Thursday and Friday!

I walked from my new workplace to the other as it takes 1 change of train or bus to train, and yet not even an hour walk

It's impossible to do now as it's barely 10degrees now---

Saturday kept on working..

Boss was not around on both Friday and Saturday

I also did recording of KiDoAiRaku after work, which I uploaded on the 17th of December!

Tbh when I had KiDoAiRaku related work, I don't have energy either for this blog post ;;

I went to Hakone for the second time of this year on Sunday-Monday!

Went to check out the Onsen theme park Yunessun as y friend gave me free ticket!

I also drove after a while of not, which felt great as I love practicing at mountainous area w

that Sunday was one of the best days at the end of this year, as I didn't have my PC with me at all w

Monday kinda rushed to work..and I have no more recollection of what happened w

I slept only 5~6 hours lately, but somehow surviving

I enjoy latte when I don't feel like having lunch~

The third week of December was ok..

I had last day of SCRAP on the 18th!

I remember getting Subway as breakfast on the 17th, as after that I had 7hrs of lesson -w-

The herb-salt potato was good that I was so touched w

Sadly the soup was normal ;;

Shifting Rules got 2nd place in Online Escape Game award!

Although, this month ends the game w

On the 19th, I died and skipped blog update again..

Well, I did work stuff!

The Christmas week of December.. didn't really feel like Christmas to me w

My boss has been giving presents to my kids but that's about it..?

I didn't have chance to really do offline shopping, so my 'End of year shopping' satisfaction level is not..full yet w

Presents I got for my partner and myself are all done via Amazon that now the app keeps on giving me notification regarding suggestion -.-

But anyway, I've planned for my own (window) shopping time this week, when there is no more work!

Also had unexpected End of Year dinner with friends!

So happy when I can drink, despite still working after that TwT..

adulting is hard!

Christmas happened on weekend, therefore there was no special holiday

I had work as usual w

Unexpectedly an easy day as students had sudden changes ;;

I love what my partner got for me (yay he knows me so well)

But we didn't go anywhere special as we have so much to do, and we still prefer heat than cold w

This year's holiday will be short; just a week ;w;

We were lucky few years ago before the new emperor, since the ex-emperor's birthday was on Christmas Eve

But not this year w

Well, this year's Golden Week was also weird, with me having workday in between ;w;

I tried to be productive yesterday, on the 26th of December!

I still love to listen to Michael Buble (it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!), Mariah Carey, Nutcracker that I'm kinda lonely that it's not their time anymore w

But anyway, I did recording for this year's last episode of KiDoAiRaku

It came out longer than expected ;;

Then spent more than expected time, playing online game with friends

I enjoyed it, though super sleepy now that the moment I woke up, I thought of getting coffee right away w

I'm accomplishing my KiDoAiRaku goals before this year end (though I still have editing----)

I still have the two August 2021 blog posts including this one..

and I gotta stay productive until the 30th with September 2021 twit & blog post

because I won't have my PC on the 31st and 1st---

Well, I have it on the 1st but I think I don't want to work that day w

Alright!

Super tired today after business lunch..

Unexpectedly lesser report as 1 kid's was easy and another student didn't come..

But I slacked for almost 2hrs as I needed break from life (?)

I still want to clear this post, while juggling 2 more reports and some parts of KiDoAiRaku

So without further ado, let's travel back to August 2021!

Shinchan is always my healer 🥲

Now that COVID19 have been around for 2 years?

I've been into Shinchan for 1.5year w

In one of my KiDoAiRaku podcasts, I talked about Calpis!

mid-August! I think the last week where I did the recording after a month of not XD

Calpis stays as one of fave drink when I don't have lunch

Yokohama's branch of my school opened in late August~

This was the given bento, had it for lunch at 3PM before lesson XD

One of the rare days I had onigiri for dinner!

While I was in the middle of my '80 hours of Phoenix Wright', I brought SWITCH to my end of summer trip!

Dropped by Ebina Service Area on our way to Hakone!

I almost splurged on this as Siamese is my fave cat breed ;w;

I've seen (and eaten) these before XD

got fried fish...chip? XD I-it tasted ok only w

and reached Hakone!

After a quick lunch at Soba? place, we went to the place I have been wanting to visit the most when it comes to Hakone; Little Prince Museum!

even the entrance was super cute <3

truly Instagrammable place >w<

we got ticket to the exhibition area!

the museum was not too big, but it was just cuteness overload!

I actually just read the book this year

And after doing so, I understands why it's a popular book even until now

Not really giving me rhetorical questions but it's just, kinda funny XD

moving on from the ticket booth is a garden!

I think we kinda came at the wrong season as during summer, the flowers not too nice XD

Of course there were some nice ones too, but I'd love to have more rose!

Perhaps slightly colder weather would be better for the visit, but it was not blazing hot either!

and moving on after the garden..still open area!

As Little Prince's background is France? they had European style buildings!

then we went in to one of the indoor exhibition area, with a few floors!

the author was a pilot, and probably liked plane in general!

they had the book in various translation too!

then...they had the BIG version of the book!

partner gave me the Titan pose (?)

IT was super cute too, despite the size XD

then we move on to inside the exhibition area where they had the main characters and symbols of the story

I actually remember the salaryman? the most

adults care a lot about numbers ;;

the fox, the snake, more translated book, and back to the outside area!

There were also exhibition about the author's belonging or room, but I didn't take any photo XD

the famous characters were also outside!

my partner laughed at me that I forgot about the fedora XD

there was also a cathedral, but nothing much inside as it's small!

the little France town sure looked cute though!

I think there was a part that was close due to the pandemic too

last part was the shop! I got a scarf, while taking photo of what I find as cute!

There was also cafe as the non-paid area

Despite the cuteness, there's really not much stuff ^^;

Therefore after being there for less than 1 hour? We went to another place

Entered the wrong road, which happened to be one of the local stations ;;

Thought it was parking space but apparently not as it was a dead end XD

did a U-turn at a convenient store~

our next stop was Naraya cafe!

Wanted to visit here back in November but after all, a lot of the cafe is not too convenient to visit by car

Even for this visit, we ended up paying extra parking fee as the designated parking area was full ;; 

despite being in mid-summer, i enjoyed the foot bath XD

we had cooling food instead!

I had ume (plum) soda but the colour was not visible XD

I don't remember the taste anymore though ;; 

but it sure was one of the rare times I had soda!

the view from Naraya cafe was super nice!

the cafe had 2 or 3 levels, and this was at the bottom!

the foot bath was on the first floor

therefore, we checked the other floor after finished eating!

the cafe was unexpectedly big, with a lot of area to enjoy and relax~

perhaps due to mid-summer, we didn't order dripped coffee but I find the cafe's menu a bit limited XD

the place is nice though, so I don't mind going back for that, especially foot bath!

then we drove to our hotel!

it was near the main station~

apparently most of the inn in Hakone is pretty old style that even the place we stayed in have no elevator!

it was tough to go up 3 floors everyday /slapped

we stayed for 2 nights

our package came with 2 dinners, 2 breakfast, and 2 x 0.5hr of private onsen room~

the onsen sure was good, although we had enough of it after the whole trip as it was mid-summer XD

as we reached the hotel around 5, we had 1~1.5hr before dinner

therefore we walked around, just nice for beautiful sky!

after all, set dinner is always luxurious and ALWAYS TOO MUCH ;w;

we were pretty full that day?

anyway, the'd be better if we were hungrier I think XD

The whole trip was so relaxed...

That I really felt so full w

We had tatami room, so there was no sofa nor bed

Therefore we just sleep right away dinner, while I just lay down to play SWITCH XD

Trip is always good UwU
